The Annual Report provides an overview of EcoTyre activities that include ELTs collection and recovery, research and development, communication and awareness raising initiatives. During 2018 the Consortium collected almost 45,000 tons of ELTs which is about 2.5% more than the target set by the law. In the same year EcoTyre launched the project “Rubber to Rubber” that allows something very simple yet revolutionary: using rubber granules derived from waste tyres to produce new tyres. EcoTyre has also confirmed its strong commitment on environmental issues and promoted over 40 extraordinary interventions to clean up waste tyre dumps in natural areas.
